The Central Michigan District Health Department will resume its routine monitoring program for the beach at Ross Lake Park throughout the upcoming swim season. Water samples will be collected weekly during the swim season to evaluate bacterial conditions.

Water is considered unsafe for swimming if a sample exceeds 300 E. coli per 100 mL, or if the 30-day geometric mean exceeds 130 E. coli per 100 mL. In such cases, signage will be posted at the beach to inform the public, and follow-up sampling will be conducted as soon as possible.

Sampling results will be made available on the following BeachGuard interactive website for public access.
